Why I am atheist and other works - Bhagat Singh

Bhagat Singh. Why I am an Atheist and Other Works. Srishti Publishers and Distributors.

Just finished reading the book Why I am an atheist by the legendry leader Bhagat Singh. Why didn't we read his words in school days? Why are the history books of our school so full of nonsense? I used to hate history as a subject. I would fall asleep reading about freedom fighters. Obviously because the idiots who designed our school books filled it up with full of rubbish.

Reading the letters of Bhagat Singh can pump the revolutionary emotions circulate in your blood even to today. He created a huge wave of freedom fighters without gun without violence. He was knowledgeable, he studied the history and revolution of various countries and knew exactly what he was doing and where exactly he was directing the youth force of the country. He knew the definition of freedom. His fight was not just against British, it was against entire colonialism, slavery, exploitation, social blind beliefs, slavery, exploitation, inequalities, lack of discipline........... He was the force who would have transformed the world, not just the country.
Obviously he was too bright and shining in the eyes of all those who claimed power, fame, reputation, credit.....
We need Bhagat Singh in every field, every era, every society......
Some of the quotes that I loved from the book:

Jails should be reformatories and not veritable hells. In this connection, the readers should study the Russian prison system.  Bhagat Singh.

I am such a lunatic that I am free even in the jail

Lovers, lunatics and poets are made of the same stuff.

“Let me announce, with all the strength at my command, that I am not a terrorist and I never was, expect perhaps in the beginning of my revolutionary career. And I am convinced that we cannot gain anything through those methods.” – Bhagat Singh

“If the deaf are to hear, then sound has to be very loud.” – Bhagat Singh

“The aim of life is no more to control the mind, but to develop it harmoniously; not to achieve salvation here after, but to make the best use of it here below...” – Bhagat Singh
